Choco-Nana Power Shake

All natural, whole food based protein shake. No supplements required!

Ingredients

  • 100g banana (1 small)

  • ½ c  plain organic greek yogurt

  • ½ c  liquid egg whites

  • ¼ c unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1 Tbsp.  Cacao Powder (raw, organic if possible)

  • Cinnamon (a few dashes to taste)

  • Dash vanilla extract

Preparation

  1. Toss it all in a blender and press START!

Tips

This is an awesome alternative to having to use protein powder.  Keep in mind there are NO artificial sweeteners in this shake, so while the banana and cinnamon will add some sweet, it won’t be quite the same as a traditional shake.  But...it is sooo creamy and I love the rich chocolate flavor from the cacao- I think that makes up for the fake sweetness any day! If you wanted to add fat, or other flavor, PB2 powder or a Tbsp of any nut butter would be great in here too!  Also, for a morning boost, a ½ cup of cold brew would be great too! Just remember to account for the calories & macros for your add-ins!
